Father’s Day Dinner Ideas

Father’s Day is such a special day to me but also very hard. On one side I feel so very grateful and lucky that I get to celebrate my sweet husband!! He is truly the worlds best dad!! The most patient, helpful and caring dad out there! Brooks is literally his best friend and they are the cutest together! Absolutely love their sweet sweet bond!!

On the other hand, it’s a sad day because I don’t get to celebrate with my sweet dad! We had such a special bond and I miss him daily!!! When I was growing up I watched my parents cook every night and they taught me the most amazing recipes! I know if he were here we would be cooking, celebrating and he would be on the ground playing with Brooks! Oh how I wish that was possible. But since its not, I have rounded up 10 recipes that he would love and/or taught me!

This 5 ingredient Baked Penne is a simpler version of the pasta we would make every Sunday! This one only takes 20 minutes & is so incredibly tasty!

This Creamy Tuscan Chicken would be right up his ally! Simple juicy chicken in the most flavorful cream sauce!

You can’t go wrong with this Creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip or my Dad’s Famous Creamed Spinach! Both are to die for!

This Chicken Fried Steak and White Gravy was his masterpiece! Absolutely salty, crunchy & savory! LOVE this one!

This one HAS to be on the list! He created it and wow is it the best burger you’ll ever eat! Juicy, cheesy & a little spicy!

One of my favorite one-pot meals would definitely be one of his too! Creamy and spicy with pasta. Yum!

Love these Sour Cream Enchiladas so much, they’re my husbands favorite!! I love how simple but satisfying these are!

I had to add this deliciousness to the menu because my dad ALWAYS ordered Eggplant Parmesan. I guess I’ll have to make some one day! But in the meantime, this is close enough!

These grits make the whole dish in my opinion! And my dad LOVED grits!! Must try this one, whole family approved!

Last but not least, the most juicy pork chops ever! This brine is sweet, salty and makes the pork so incredibly tender!
This year I will most certainly be making one of these recipes with my brother and sister and we will be celebrating him! Cheers to all the sweet daddy’s out there that were taken from us too soon!!!
