Simple Brown Gravy
I LOVE brown gravy!!!! It’s my favorite on meatloaf, mashed potatoes, turkey, and of course anything for Thanksgiving!!! I used to make it with a package, I know not like me AT ALL, but honestly this is 10,000 times better!! Give this a try it was so easy and you know whats in it 😉
Ingredients
– Pan drippings (2 tbsps)
– 4 tbsp flour
– 2 cups chicken broth
– salt
– pepper
Directions
1. Make a roux by mixing the pan drippings (oil) with flour. Let cook until nice and dark brown! Probably about 5-8 minutes!!
2. Once the color is dark brown, slowly whisk in chicken stock. Bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. Stirring often. Let the gravy thicken for about 10 minutes! Add in salt and pepper to taste! I do about 2 pinches of salt and 4-5 rotations of cracked pepper! Taste and believe in yourself!!!
ENJOY!
