Southern Green Beans

If I were to pick the meal that reminds me most of my childhood it would be chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans, and it HAS to be these green beans! They are SO addicting and once again, easy! These were always on the menu in my house and one of the first “dishes” I ever learned! I still haven’t stopped making them and neither will you!

Ingredients
– 2 cans of cut green beans (or 1 lb fresh green beans)
– 1 tbsp bacon grease
– 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
– 1/2 tbsp cavenders
– Salt
– Pepper

Directions
1. Pour 1 can drained and one can with liquid into a sauce pan with bacon grease. (If using fresh add 1/2 cup water).
2. Bring to boil and add in spices. Reduce heat to simmer and cook with the lid on for 30 minutes. Stir and taste every 10 minutes.
3. Remove lid and cook for another 15 minutes.
